The one local race in Sioux County, picking two Republicans for County Commissioner from a field of 4 to advance to November, was not close.

J-W Geiser and incumbent Hal Downer were the easy winners, Downer with 231 votes or 38% of the total with Geiser getting 186 or 31%.

Finishing a distant 3rd with 125 votes or 21% was Kelly Strain while Dan Jordan got 66 votes of 11%. Voter turnout was an impressive 42.7%.
