9 EAGLES EARN USTFCCCA ALL-REGIONAL HONORS

USTFCCCA -2Nine Chadron State College track and field student-athletes have been named to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association South Central All-Region team.

The top five individuals in each event from each region earned the All-Region distinction, along with each member of the regions’ top three relay teams.

The Eagles earning the honor are:  Gavan Archibald (400 hurdles), Skyler Hoopes (pole vault), Charith Kapukotuwa (shot put), Karl McFarlane  (110 hurdles), Alyssa Norton (discus, shot put and hammer throw), Josey Pehringer (pole vault), Stachia Reuwsaat (long jump), and Kelsy Wood (heptathlon).

Norton, McFarlane, and Kapukotuwa…who make seek a medical hardship after missing nearly the entire season with a torn pectoral muscle, are all seniors. Archibald, Hoopes, and Pehringer are juniors, and Wood and Reuwsaat are both freshmen.
