The couple that was the subject of a Panhandle-wide bulletin sent out last week by the Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office is now in custody in Gering.

Scotts Bluff deputies and officers from the Mitchell and Morrill police departments arrested 55-year old Ricky Herman and 49-year old Katherine (Kathy) Hoxworth without incident at a Mitchell residence late Monday afternoon.

Herman was wanted on a Dawes County theft warrant and Hoxworth, who also uses the names Kathy Schmer and Kathy Foster, was wanted on a Scotts Bluff County warrant for failure to appear, but authorities had described both as dangerous.

Mitchell Police Chief Mike Cotant says authorities had received multiple tips since the bulletin went out that help locating Hoxworth and Herman, with information from citizens leading specifically led to the location where they were arrested.

Hoxworth and Herman are both currently being held in the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center.
