NEBRASKA REPUBLICANS TAKE SWIPES AT PRESIDENT

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — The four Nebraska Republicans vying for one of the 100 seats in the U.S. Senate spent much of their final debate poking at the president instead of jabbing at one another.

Former Nebraska Treasurer Shane Osborn, Midlands University President Ben Sasse, attorney Bart McLeay and banker Sid Dinsdale gathered in Lincoln on Wednesday night. The Lincoln Journal Star says they railed against the Affordable Care Act and criticized President Barack Obama’s foreign policy leadership.

The four also agreed on the need to reduce the national debt and federal spending overall while increasing spending by the Pentagon.
