The Alliance Public Library Board’s “Read Around the Posies” fundraiser will take place May 5-10.

The promotion is a flower pot silent auction. Local businesses and individuals are asked to design flowerpots. A 12-inch plastic pot and saucer will be supplied. You may choose to decorate or paint it or select another container. If you choose to paint or decorate the pot, make sure to use paint for plastic and a weatherproof sealant to preserve the design for outdoor use.

You may pick up a pot with planting guidelines at the library prior to May 2. The pots need to be returned to the library on May 2 or 3. Flowerpots will be displayed for bidding May 5-10, with proceeds to be earmarked for technology upgrades.
