PROVO, UTAH – Thirteen BYU women’s basketball players scored and the Cougars shot 48 percent from the field as a team en route to their 89-51 victory over Chadron State in an exhibition game Thursday.
Chadron State’s Dallas Shaw was the only Eagle to finish in double figures and she led all scorers with 17 points. She struggled from the field, hitting just three of 16 attempts, but she made nine of 11 from the foul line and sank two 3-pointers.
Also for Chadron State, Hattie Guzman scored nine points, Jazmin Lopez had eight points and nine rebounds and Kattie Ranta scored six.
As a team, the Eagles shot 24.6 percent from the field (14-57). Six of CSC’s 14 made field goals were from long range.
In addition, CSC hit 17 of 23 free throws.
The Eagles will play another exhibition game on Monday at Air Force.
