The 2013 Alliance Fire Department Miss Flame crown was won by Alliance Fire Dept.

Lt. Jake Perkins (center) Thursday night.

A large crowd at the Alliance Performing Arts Center saw Richard Sanchez (right), a respiratory therapist at BBGH win the Miss Spark title, while Lance Yearling (left) was crowned Miss Smoke.

Miss Flame — the crowd favorite — was also awarded $500.

Perkins also won the title in 2010.

The program began with an inspirational demonstration of a firefighter rescuing a person from a burning building. When the firefighter took off his helmet and mask, the crowd quickly learned that the “firefighter” was BBGH CEO Dan Griess, who served as Master of Ceremonies.

The Miss Flame pageant serves as a fundraiser for the AVFD.
