The Happy Hustlers 4-H Club of Dawes County holds its 45th annual 4th of July flag raising ceremony atop Flag Butte west of Chadron bright and early on the 4th at 6:00 a-m.

Once again joining the Happy Hustlers for their tribute to America and its veterans will be the Chadron Veteran’s Honor Guard. A continental breakfast by the Rose Hill Community Club in the former Flag Butte School will follow the ceremony.

Flag Butte is about 10-miles southwest of Chadron on Deadhorse Road. The land is owned by Bat and Patty Pourier, who have continued the tradition of opening the site for the 4th of July flag-raising.
