During Monday night’s Alliance School Board meeting, the board accepted the resignation of high school art teacher Jill Harris. Harris will be moving to Lincoln as she has accepted a position with the Lincoln Public Schools. The board approved the hiring of Kathy Underwood of Alliance to succeed Harris. Underwood recently graduated from Chadron State College.

The board also approved the hiring of Tessa Oestman as a high school English teacher. Oestman’s husband, Eric Oestman, was recently hired as the high school assistant principal.

The board also approved the hiring of Misty Graham to succeed Leonard Hartman as the high school computer instructor.

Shardel Nelson and Jessica Johnson were hired as special education paras at Grandview Elementary, and Brenda Nunes was reassigned as a Grandview custodian.
