All four Nebraska state veterans homes received perfect scores on their most recent annual Health Care System Surveys from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

It’s the 4th straight clean report for the Western Nebraska Veterans Home in Scottsbluff, where administrator Lonnie Starke calls it a tribute to the people who work there.

The other state veterans homes are in Bellevue, Grand Island and Norfolk. The perfect scores covered a wide range of areas including safety, resident care, staff training and development, food, medical staff, social work, activities, and billing services.
