In conjunction with the construction project by Panhandle Cooperative Association north of Alliance, the Box Butte County Roads Department will be upgrading some roads in that region during the daytime hours next week

County Roads Superintendent Barb Keegan says Madison Road from County Road 60 (which is north Emerson Avenue) west to Highway 385 will be closed and County Road 61 from Logan Road south to the West Plains Grain entrance will also be closed.

Keegan says heavy equipment will be used at the intersection of County Road 61 and Madison Road as it will be re-worked and upgraded with new dirt.

She says for public and road crew safety, the roads need to be closed from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday thru Friday, June 17-21.
