WINNEBAGO, Neb. (AP) — Authorities have released the name of a man whose body was found in the Missouri River near Winnebago last week.
The Thurston County sheriff’s office on Monday identified him as 56-year-old David Deaton. The sheriff’s office did not list his hometown. Officials say the cause of death was an accidental drowning and no foul play is suspected.
Deaton’s body was found last Wednesday near Big Bear Park, east of Winnebago.
