LOS ANGELES (AP) – A top official with AEG Live is challenging sworn testimony that he pushed Michael Jackson to rehearse for his “This Is It” the concert series. Paul Gongaware denies earlier testimony by Jackson’s longtime makeup and stylist that he insisted that Jackson rehearse, even when he didn’t want to. The makeup artist Karen Faye testified earlier Gongaware told her to get Jackson out of a locked bathroom so he could rehearse. Gongaware says that “never, never happened.” Jackson’s mother is suing the concert promotion giant, claiming it was negligent as Jackson prepared for the scheduled 2009 shows in London. Jackson died before the tour started and the doctor hired to treat him was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for giving him a fatal dose of the anesthetic propofol.
