LOS ANGELES (AP) – Usually you see hockey players growing playoff beards, but Angie Miller’s brother has decided to grow one as she competes in the final three on “American Idol.” Randy Jackson says Miller did a great job being understated on “Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word.” Keith Urban and Mariah Carey had tears in their eyes for Kree Harrison singing “Here Comes Goodbye.” However, Nicki Minaj thought whoever chose “Better Dig Two” for Harrison should be stoned because it’s out of Harrison’s comfort zone. Candice Glover got a standing ovation for her performance of “Somewhere.” Minaj says Glover is going to inspire young women because she owns who she is on stage.

Something didn’t go right with the first viewers’ vote of the season on “The Voice.” At the top of last night’s show, Carson Daly said there were “some inconsistencies in this week’s text and online voting.” He says the problem was quickly identified in consultation with the vote tabulating company Telescope. But NBC isn’t detailing the problem with Internet voting. The Voice’s producers decided not to include text and online voting in this week’s totals. Daly says removing the votes didn’t change the outcome for any team.

Sometimes it doesn’t pay to be nice. Brenda won the loved ones Reward Challenge on “Survivor: Caramoan” last night. But she gave up the visit with her family so her tribemates spend time with their loved ones. It didn’t matter much in the Tribal Council though. After Dawn won the Immunity Challenge, Brenda was voted out. Brenda told her tribemates that she had been honest with them and they turned on her. As she snuffed out her torch, Brenda said it hurts.
