St_Agnes_2009_ImageDear Parents and Students,

This is rather a bittersweet time of the year. Our eighth grade will graduate this Friday, May 10, at 6 PM. I am so happy for them, but I will miss them. Thank you, eighth grade, for a great year. Alliance High School is fortunate to have you as new students. Our eighth graders are: Anna Adam, Carissa Adamson, Tyler Boyer, Brendan Brehmer, Brody Brennan, Katie Failor, Bernie Girard, Elizabeth Johnston, Austin Pfeiffer, Trevor Ridenour, Gage Rolls and Larissa Whirlwind Horse. Congratulations to Bailey Johnson, 7th grade Language Arts Student in Mrs. Gould’s class, who was selected as a Nebraska student poet through a contest entered earlier this year. She participated in the Poetry of Place Event sponsored by the Nebraska Writing Project and the Nebraska Humanities Council by attending a ceremony honoring 11 student writers from across the state on Friday, May 3rd, in the Warner Chambers at the Nebraska State Capitol Building. The poetry will also appear on the website of the Nebraska Writing Project in June.  This is an honor for Bailey and for St. Agnes Academy.
