A number of Panhandle cities have declared snow emergencies to get parked vehicles off major arterials to make it easier for crews to plow them.

The emergency rules went into effect in Scottsbluff, Gering, and Terrytown Monday evening at 6:00 with Chadron running its Tuesday morning from 4:00 till noon with the possibility of a repeat Wednesday morning if needed.

Vehicle owners who do not have cars, trucks, rvs, trailers, or other vehicles off the designated snow routes in those cities may be cited and have their vehicles towed.
