FOUL PLAY NOT SUSPECTED BUT AUTOPSY ORDERED IN CHADRON DEATH

Police - death investigationDawes County Attorney Vance Haug says foul play is not suspected in the death of a Chadron woman found in her home late Thursday afternoon, and that he ordered an autopsy and toxicological testing as standard producer for an unattended death of a person without major medical problems.

Chadron police were sent to the home of 41-year-old Ashley Rising about 5 pm after being contacted by friends who were concerned because she’d missed a doctor’s appointment and hadn’t returned phone calls.

The autopsy and tests were scheduled for Friday in Scottsbluff, but Haug has not released any information on preliminary results…saying more information in the casse will be released “when appropriate.”
