BLAKE SHELTON & LUKE BRYAN TO HOST THE ACM AWARDS

ACM-Awards-CountryMusicIsLoveBlake Shelton and Luke Bryan won’t just host the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday. They’ll open the show. Their backup band includes Brad Paisley, Sheryl Crow and Pistol Annies. They will perform Shelton’s new single, “Boys ‘Round Here.”

Little Big Town got their first award five years ago at the Academy of Country Music Awards, and they want to repeat that.

Singer Kimberly Schlapman says they’d like to take some more home, and singer Karen Fairchild says it’s been a long break that they’re ready to end.

Singer Jimi Westbrook says they pushed themselves on their “Tornado” album and tried new things. He says the fact that fans have latched onto that is very rewarding.

The ACMs will take place this Sunday on CBS at 6 p.m.
