The Chadron State College Concert Choir had been scheduled to perform in Rapid City Friday, the prelude to a 3-day tour of Colorado next weekend, but illness has forced cancellation of the concert at the Rapid City First Presbyterian Church.

The highlight of the tour repertoire is a number featuring the choir and organ…a major reason the Rapid City concert was scheduled for the church…but choir director Joel Schroeder says the organist became ill, leaving no choice but to cancel.

The Colorado tour remains a go, though. Schroeder says Joel Bacon…faculty member and organ instructor at Colorado State University in Fort Collins…has agreed to fill in as the featured guest performer.
