SB ARRESTS IN DRUG RING THAT BROUGHT UP TO 30 POUNDS OF METH TO TOWN

HANDCUFFSInvestigators with the WING Drug Task Force and an agent with the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives culminated a 3-month drug investigation by arresting 2 California residents Tuesday in Scottsbluff.

WING commander and Nebraska State Patrol Sergeant Dana Korell says 33-year old Daniel Bravo and 27 year old Leticia Desman, both of Stockton, are believed to be leaders in a drug ring that brought 20-to-30 pounds of methamphetamine into the Scottsbluff area over the past 3 years.

Bravo and Desman were arrested after allegedly selling 139 grams or about 5 ounces of meth to a confidential informant   who paid them $4,000. They’re being held in the Scotts Bluff County jail on charges of distribution of meth with bail at$750,000.

Court documents indicate Bravo arranged the buy at a Scottsbluff restaurant, with the actual exchange taking place in the parking lot. Sgt Korell says Bravo was also the organizer of the meth distribution ring, with most of it brought to the area by others. Korell has not said if other arrests are also expected.
