The Star-Herald Wyo-Nebraska Get Fit Challenge weigh-in at Box Butte General Hospital in Alliance had 25 teams of the original 50 registered record their final weights Tuesday, April 2. The challenge lasted 12 weeks, with hundreds of two-person teams taking part.

According to Challenge Coordinator Willie Weibert, Star-Herald Sales Manager (at center of left photo), the teams weighing in at Alliance lost a total of 660.8 lbs., a percentage of 3.12 percent based on all 50 teams (those who didn’t complete the challenge were recorded as having 0 lbs. weight loss).

“The top team in weight loss at the Alliance weigh-in was Samantha and Ahmed Ajroud (before and after shots above), losing a total of 78 lbs., a percentage of 18.03 percent,” Weibert said.

“The Alliance site was the first of our final weigh-ins for the Challenge. We’ll be finishing up the rest of the weigh-in sites over next couple of days.”
