JUNIOR FROM ALLIANCE NEW CSC STUDENT TRUSTEE

Danny ReynagaGovernor Dave Heineman has named a junior from Alliance as the new Chadron State College student on the Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees.

Adolfo “Danny” Reynaga, son of Adolfo and Dora Reynaga and a 2010 Alliance High School graduate, is majoring in Legal Studies and will take the LSAT in June. He’s interested in politics and public policy, but hopes to eventually go into civil law…possibly specializing in family law.

Reynaga will have a orientation session in mid-June at the NSCS offices in Lincoln on his duties as a student trustee, and attended the most recent trustees meeting in Peru outgoing CSC student trustee Morgan Nelson.

He credits Nelson with getting him interested in applying for the position.”We have had classes together and the more I talked to Morgan about it, I knew I wanted to apply for the position. She said she really enjoyed it and I think I will too. The board was impressed with Morgan which was great to see.”

Nelson thinks the governor made a great choice in Reynaga. “I’ve gotten to know Danny really well and I think he will provide a very knowledgeable opinion to the board.

He’s been attending meetings on campus already, working into the position and it’s obvious that he will fit the job well. I’m excited to have such a great successor, and representative for the students of CSC.”
