They’re being called the Butterfingers Burglars…two Scottsbluff teenagers arrested early Monday morning for breaking into a Scottsbluff convenience store late Sunday night.
Officers responding to the break-in call had an easy time tracking the burglars; they just followed a trail of dropped Butterfingers candy bars from the store to a nearby apartment complex.
While some officers kept an eye on the apartment building and talked to some residents, others watched a surveillance video from the store.
Police say a pair of cowboy boots worn by one of the burglars matched a pair found at the apartment building’s laundry room, and that…along with other evidence…led to the arrests of the two 17-year olds.
