A public meeting will be held Monday, March 4, at 5:30 p.m., to discuss any “final feedback” with the engineers from Baker’s & Associates regarding Phase I of the Streetscape project.

The meeting will be held at the Alliance Learning Center.

Involved in this first phase will include Box Butte Avenue from Second to Third Street.

The project will include removal of existing sidewalks and curb & cutter on both sides of the  street. New 5” concrete sidewalk will be installed with a 4-foot brick paver boarder adjacent to the curb. Curb and gutter will be replaced to match existing with improved ADA access.  The existing sidewalk and street lights will be removed and replaced with a historical twin head street light.

The existing trees will be removed and replaced with Nebraska Forestry recommended trees with a new irrigation system. Electrical outlets will also be provided.
