The fifth grade did a great job of selling pizzas for the benefit of Baby Mitch Weare. They sold 477 pizzas! Pizza pick up is scheduled for 2 pm on March 6 in the gym. Thank you all for participating in the pizza sales.

The musical performance of Flat Stanley will be held Tuesday, March 5, at 1 pm and 7 pm and Friday, March 8, at 7 pm. Tickets prices are: Adults $4; students $2 and the matinee will be $1.

Zachary Placek (6th grader at SAA) will be competing this weekend at the Winter State Swimming Championships in Laramie Wyoming. He will be joined by Jayc Anderson and Tristan Heldenbrand, both St. Agnes graduates. All three swim for the Scottsbluff Torpedoes. Bring home the gold guys!

Starting this Friday, March 1, St. Agnes will begin their participation in the Keep Alliance Beautiful – Student for Recycling contest. The contest runs from March 1 through May 31. The items being accepted for the contest include: Newspapers; magazine; phonebooks and soft cover books. All items are to be taken to the Recycling Center located in the alley across from Western Heritage Creidt Union, Monday through Friday from 8 am – 3 pm.  When you arrive at the Recycling Center to drop off your recyclables, tell the KAB staff that you are dropping the items off for St. Agnes Academy. Please keep in mind, only the items listed for this year’s contest be be counted towards our totals. St. Agnes students will put forth a gallant effort to help our school with recycling.

Working with Keep Alliance Beautfil and the Students for Recycling contest will be a great service project. Our students do an awesome job helping to beautify our school grounds and our community. Thank you and always, Think Green!

Students and staff are requested to wear blue and/or white this Friday as the entire staff and student body will meet in the gym at 12:45 for a whole school picture for the yearbook. Thank you to Melissa Brennan for her willingness to help with the yearbook this year! She will be our photographer on Friday. Please contact Mrs. Gould with any questions. The yearbook goes to print on 3/3/13! Sales for the yearbook will begin next week.

Parents, please keep current on your lunch charges—they are really starting to add up.

A gentle reminder that checks written for Parents Inc., fundraisers, scrip, lunches and tuition need to be written separately as they are all individual accounts. We do not keep cash on hand at school so we are unable to move the money from one account to another.

The St. Agnes Foundation Annual 50/50 Fundraiser is this Thursday, February 28, at the Westside Events Center. Good luck to all who purchased tickets.
