LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Law enforcement officials in southeastern Nebraska say they seized methamphetamine and cocaine during a traffic stop this week on Interstate 80.
Television station KETV reports that the stop happed Tuesday morning near Lincoln. Lancaster County Sheriff’s deputies say they pulled over a sport utility vehicle on suspicion of driving to closely to another vehicle. Sheriff Terry Wagner said the driver told a deputy he had a small amount of marijuana for personal use, which led to a search of the SUV.
Deputies say they found 10 pounds (4.54 kilograms) of meth and one pound (0.45 kilogram) of cocaine in the rear cargo hold. Deputies also found a handgun.
Three Michigan men in the SUV were arrested on suspicion of drug and weapons crimes.
