The Nebraska High School Football finals are now set following semi-final play Monday night in Class D1 and D2. The Mullen Broncos, the top seed in the West, defeated Lawrence-Nelson 36-24 to advance to the D2 Championship game vs #2 East seed Johnson-Brock. Johnson-Brock defeated #1 East seed Humphrey St. Francis 58-44. The D2 Championship Game will be played Monday, Nov. 19 at 10:15 am CT, at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.
In Class D1, Burwell defeated North Central 23-22, while Creighton, defeated Exeter-Milligan/Friend 72-26. Both Burwell and Creighton are #1 seeds heading into the D1 Championship Game which will be played Monday, Nov. 19 at 2:45 pm CT at Memorial Stadium.
The Class A Championship Game will be Monday Nov. 19, at 7:15 pm CT and will match up #1 Omaha Burke vs #7 Grand Island.
The Class C2 Championship Game will open play on Tuesday, Nov. 20 with #1 Centennial matching up with #3 Norfolk Catholic at 10:15 am CT. Class C1 will follow featuring #3 Ord vs #1 Aurora at 2:45 pm CT. Class B will finish the 2 day event with #2 Scottsbluff vs #1 Omaha Skutt Catholic at 7:15 pm CT. Nebraska Educational Television will broadcast all 6 Championship Games.
The 6-Man Championship game will be played Friday Nov. 16 at Foster Field at the University of Nebraska-Kearney at 7 pm CT. #1 Seed Hay Springs will meet #2 Seed Wilcox-Hildreth for the 6-Man Title,
